How long is my certificate valid for?
A certificate of recovery is valid for six months – starting at the earliest with the 11th day after the first infection was confirmed by a molecular test (PCR) and lasting for up to 180 days after that.
How do I get my certificate?
Online via gesundheit.gv.at
You receive your certificate of recovery after logging in with your mobile phone signature or your citizen’s card (Bürgerkarte).
At the place the test was made
It is also possible to have certificates printed out free of charge by local authorities, district administration authorities (BH) or the ELGA Ombudsperson’s office.
What am I able to do with my certificate?
Making travel easier
From 1 July you can travel more easily again in the EU, the EEA countries and Switzerland with your certificate of recovery. Inform yourself about possible exceptions before you travel on the website of the Ministry of European and International Affairs.

With your test certificate you can go to restaurants, bars and cafes, hotels, cultural events and more. In addition, the already existing forms of evidence of recovery apply in Austria:
